The Trend Exchange, Inc. endeavors to become the world-class commodities exchange dedicated to providing innovative futures products that meet the ever-shifting economic landscape of the 21st century.
TrendEx is a U.S. government regulated (Commodities Futures Trading Commission “CFTC”) exchange (Designated Contract Market “DCM”). At the core of the TrendEx business model is a team that has been established to provide access to new and undiscovered marketplaces. Through research, collaboration and market-driven needs, TrendEx will continue to develop a vast array of futures products to help meet the capital requirement constraints of many under-serviced industries both domestic and globally. The Company’s products are grouped according to various “trend” segments that can be measured by indices, events, and other economic standards. The financial services industry has based generations of business on a familiar philosophy… “The trend is your friend”.
Futures contracts have historically enabled the transparent transfer of financial risk to a much broader group of participants, which in turn can allow for greater capital resource opportunities becoming available to the respective industry segments. Exchange-traded futures products are considered to be among the most reliable and sought-after financial instruments by market participants. Based on its innovative business model and futures products, TrendEx is poised to meet the needs of 21st century brokerage firms as it develops a marketplace that is both responsive to current industry needs and leads the way with innovation, thus bringing newly desired products to established traders while also attracting a vast population of new users.
In founding the Company, management recognized that in order to be highly successful, the Exchange needed to define a new economic frontier. Management further recognized that the benefits of utilizing the time-tested methodology of a centrally cleared, transparent, regulated exchange, similar in design to the exchanges that have successfully benefited many key segments of our economy for decades, could finally be introduced to the entertainment industry. The Company recognized that due to technological advancement, reliable third party validation sources, new accounting standards and increasing financing complexities, that a unique opportunity had been created to design and launch The Trend Exchange. The Exchange is pleased to have received the necessary approvals that will allow this exchange to commence public trading in the near future.
The entertainment industry, which includes such business segments as Movies, TV, Theater, Music, Video Games, and others, is ripe for new risk management tools. Within the motion picture industry, the Company first designed products based on domestic opening weekend box office given the significantly profound level of risk associated with a movie’s opening weekend performance. The company has furthered its product road map to include other film specific trend products as well as other products outside of the entertainment industry.
